We made several changes to the standard first floor of the Abbey. We extended the whole left side of the house 4 feet to give the more space in the family room and in the garage so that we can comfortably park the Mustang and MDX along with room for storing bikes and outside toys for Trevor. We also extended the back of the house by 4 feet to enlarge the family room and kitchen, as well as adding the solarium similar to the one in our current house. In the kitchen we moved the wall near the pantry 18 inches into the living room so we could increase the size of the pantry.
We also made a handful of changes to the second floor such as removing the master sitting room and took that space to enlarge the closets and other bedrooms. The hall bath was increased in size to include a linen closet and was repositioned to allow a walk-in closet in each of the bedrooms beside it.
The only changes in the basement were the slightly increased size of the windows and a sink for Kristin's pottery.
